Don’t have time for the full album? These are the standout tracks;

• Bump In The Road
What initially sounds like Goldfrapp’s rebellious younger brother (and that’s not an insult) turns into the ideal showcase for Hassle’s voice and the excellent production throughout ‘Pieces’

• Isn’t It Obvious
When he sings the opening chorus line “isn’t it obvious that I love you”, he is singing the song of a thousand unrequited loves, and inadvertedly soundtracking a million future chick-flicks.

• Standing Where You Left Me
A song that manages to combine the sounds of Calvin Harris, the scale of Kings Of Leon, and reminds me of ‘When Love Takes Over’….but I think that last one’s just me…

Another song that manages to combine the edgy electronica and heartfelt vocals of Hassle’s best moments. 

• Confusion Girl (Shame Shame Shame) - Frankmusik
There are a lot of similarities between Hassle and Frankmusik; they are both male solo artists that have managed to get over the ‘all male singers are dull’ syndrome (the Bublé effect I believe it is technically known as), they both have a knack for catchy intros, and yes, they both have amazing hair!

Although she has single-handedly revived the female pop industry, leaving male artists such as Hassle in the dark, she did it with such varied style. Like ‘Pieces’, Gaga’s first album features one sole piano based song but, like ‘The Thanks I Get’ it is also one of the best.
