Lungs - Album Review
By Chris
Florence and the Machine's debut album, Lungs, is a wonderfully relaxing collection of soulful songs, which merge together seamlessly, making the album sound like one long fluid song.
Fronted by Florence Welch, the songs have a magical quality, reminiscent of dreams and fantasies, matched only in peculiarity by their accompanying videos. Florence has a fantastically unique and pure voice, that really stands out in a period of popular music where many voices are mutilated by effects in the recording studio.
Florence has been a hit on the radio already, with many DJ's frequently praising her singing, most notably when she sang a cover of Beyonce's 'Halo' in the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
This album is perfect for easy listening, especially when you're outside, enjoying the sunshine, and I'm sure that it's going to be a huge summer hit!
